Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Chrome Enterprise Core team in Warsaw. This role combines technical leadership with people management, requiring 8 years of software development experience and 5 years of technical leadership. The position involves managing a full-stack team that builds services protecting data and users as work moves to the browser, working across all devices and form factors.

The role is part of Google's Platforms and Ecosystems product area, focusing on computing software platforms across various environments.   • Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals, align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams
  • Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals
  • Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development, and provide feedback and coaching
  • Develop the mid-term technical idea and roadmap within the scope of the team
  • Evolve the roadmap to meet requirements and infrastructure needs
  • Design, guide, and vet systems designs within the scope of the broader area
  • Write product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems
  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, C, C++, JavaScript)
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role
  • 2 years of experience in people management, supervision/team leadership role
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field (preferred)
  • 3 years of experience working in a changing organization (preferred)
  • Experience with frontend or backend web development, web security, Chrome extensions, extension security, data analysis (preferred)
  • Experience with working on enterprise features (preferred)
