Description For Software Engineering Manager, Data Center Resource Modeling

Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead their Data Center Resource Modeling team. Responsibilities For Software Engineering Manager, Data Center Resource Modeling

  • Design and build next generation data center resource modeling platform
  • Manage the Google wide fleet deployment
  • Enable future capacity, model the data center and manage the life-cycle of machines in the data center at scale while reducing the total cost of operations
  • Define the goal, roadmap and priorities of the team and identify new areas to grow and expand the team on
  • Establish technology and product goals in collaboration with tech leads, partners, clients, and senior leadership
  • Grow technical talent within the team
  • Drive project planning, prioritization, and resource allocation to meet both the long term and short term goals

Requirements For Software Engineering Manager, Data Center Resource Modeling

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience building and developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture
  • 3 years of experience in people management
  • 10 years of experience in software development (preferred)
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role (preferred)
  • 3 years of experience managing engineers (preferred)
  • Experience building the infrastructure ecosystem that supports data center modeling and deployments (preferred)
  • Ability to engage with other teams (preferred)
