Google Cloud is seeking a Software Engineering Manager II to lead the Borg Sigma team in Warsaw. This role combines technical leadership with people management, overseeing the development of Borg's UI, which is crucial for Google's planet-scale orchestration systems.   • Lead a team responsible for developing Borg's UI which serves Google's planet scale orchestrator
  • Drive all aspects of development including requirements definition, design, implementation, integration, test, release, monitoring, and sustaining
  • Discover opportunities for improvements in programs and workflows for better productivity and quality
  • Define team structure, develop skills, offer mentorship, and recruit new members
  • Act on behalf of the team to influence executive decisions, collaborate with internal partners, define and implement best practices

Requirements For Software Engineering Manager II, Borg Sigma

  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role
  • 2 years of experience in people management/team leadership role

  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization (preferred)
  • Experience in Data Analytics (preferred)
