Description For Software Engineering Manager, Risk and Compliance Engineering

Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead their Risk and Compliance Engineering team in São Paulo. This role combines technical leadership with people management, focusing on developing next-generation risk and compliance products for Alphabet. As part of the Core team, you'll be instrumental in building the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products, working across both backend and frontend systems.

The position requires a strong technical background with at least 5 years of software development experience and 1.5 years of leadership experience. You'll be responsible for managing engineering teams, contributing to product strategy, and overseeing large-scale project deployments. The role offers unique opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies, from processing massive datasets to building user-friendly interfaces.

Requirements For Software Engineering Manager, Risk and Compliance Engineering

  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)
  • 1.5 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field (preferred)
  • 1 year of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization (preferred)
  • Experience developing large-scale systems, with large data processing or complex UX flows with users (preferred)
