Software Engineering Manager, Risk and Compliance Engineering

Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for their Risk and Compliance Engineering team in São Paulo, Brazil. This role involves leading and managing a team of engineers while contributing to product strategy and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in software development, experience in leadership, and the ability to work on large-scale systems.

As part of the Core team, you'll be developing new products that have a significant impact on the company, focusing on user safety, risk calculation, and compliance indicators. You'll have the opportunity to work across the entire stack, from processing large amounts of data to building front-end interfaces.

Key responsibilities include establishing software development best practices, participating in the design and development of next-generation risk and compliance products, working with both back-end and front-end technologies, and collaborating closely with the UX team to ensure product excellence and accessibility.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience), 5 years of software development experience, and 1.5 years in a leadership role. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in Computer Science, experience in complex organizations, and expertise in developing large-scale systems.
