Description For Software Engineering Manager, Security, Platform and Devices

Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead their Security, Platform and Devices team. This role combines technical expertise with people management, focusing on security infrastructure and distributed client software. As a SWE Manager, you'll be responsible for leading projects, contributing to product strategy, and developing your team while working in the Platforms and Ecosystems product area.

The position requires strong technical leadership skills, with a focus on security risk assessment and infrastructure management. You'll be working with Google Cloud, building tooling for internal developers, and potentially contributing to Chromium or Android open-source projects.   • Work across teams to understand what is needed, defining what we can do to help them, and then negotiating who-builds-what
  • Work with the current leads to identify security risks and address them
  • Build the plan around how and when the team will deliver

Requirements For Software Engineering Manager, Security, Platform and Devices
