Responsibilities For Software Engineering Manager, Site Reliability Engineering

  • Lead a team of software and systems engineers, including iteration and task planning
  • Deliver on manager responsibilities and care for the team
  • Set team priorities and drive team Objectives and Key Results (OKR) execution with input from SRE leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with sibling team shards and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Establish technical credibility and influence technical direction and high quality delivery from the team
  • Participate in primary on call rotation; cultivate technical curiosity and growth mindset, and a blameless post mortem culture within the team

Requirements For Software Engineering Manager, Site Reliability Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience with data structures or algorithms
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages
  • 3 years of experience managing people or teams, leading projects, and designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
