Google Cloud's Platform and Infrastructure Engineering team is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead their Workforce Identity initiatives within the Cloud Security organization. This role is crucial in empowering enterprise customers with secure access to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Anthos, and Google Data Centers through federated sign-in systems.

The position requires a seasoned leader with 8+ years of software development experience and a strong background in security systems, particularly in identity and access management. You'll be responsible for building authentication infrastructure that enables customers to integrate their existing identity solutions with GCP, GDC, and GKE/Anthos environments, focusing on Bring-Your-Own-Identity (BYOID) initiatives.

As a manager, you'll lead a team of talented engineers, driving complex technical projects and developing ambitious roadmaps in collaboration with Program Managers, Engineering leads, and Technical Program Managers. Your role will be essential in shaping the future of Google Cloud's security infrastructure, working within a complex, matrixed organization that serves customers in more than 200 countries.

  • Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (preferred)
