Google Public Sector is seeking a Staff Cloud Solutions Architect to join their Rapid Innovation team. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on developing prototypes and demonstrating GCP platform capabilities. The position requires deep experience in cloud computing, system design, and AI/ML technologies.

As a Staff Cloud Solutions Architect, you'll work at the intersection of innovation and practical implementation, partnering with customers and internal teams to craft sophisticated prototypes that showcase GCP's potential. Your role involves translating experimental developments into scalable, market-ready solutions that the Google Public Sector Go-To-Market team can leverage.

The role demands both technical prowess and strong interpersonal skills, as you'll be facilitating cross-functional workshops and gathering requirements to build successful adoption roadmaps. You'll be working with cutting-edge technologies, including various ML frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, while helping public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations.

This position offers an attractive compensation package, including a base salary range of $177,000-$263,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. You'll be part of Google's commitment to advancing digital innovation in government and education sectors, working with local, state, and federal government institutions.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 7 years of relevant experience, strong technical capabilities in cloud computing and programming languages, and excellent communication skills. Requirements For Staff Cloud Solutions Architect, Rapid Innovation

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of experience in system design or one of the programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.)
  • 7 years of experience as a software development engineer in cloud computing or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience designing and deploying with ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, Spark ML, etc.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML related engineering
