Google's Search Community organization is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join their Community Data Science team. This role is crucial in bringing fresh, authentic, and relatable content to Google Search by leveraging User Generated Content (UGC) from various platforms. The role encompasses three main areas: product partnership, strategic analysis, and metrics. You'll collaborate with Product and Engineering leads to launch innovative features on Google Search, analyze user behavior patterns, and develop metrics to guide decision-making processes. The team's mission is to enhance Search results by incorporating both UGC and authoritative publisher content effectively.

As a Staff Data Scientist, you'll be at the forefront of reimagining information search, solving complex challenges while maintaining Google's universally accessible experience. The position requires strong analytical skills, experience with A/B testing, and expertise in data analysis tools like Python, R, and SQL. You'll be responsible for conducting sophisticated analyses, designing evaluation models, and working with cross-functional teams to drive product decisions.

The role offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $177,000-$266,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
