Responsibilities For Staff Developer Relations Engineer, Open Source Programs

  • Lead analysis and compliance programs for Google's open source work
  • Partner with legal, product, and engineering teams, oversee Google's policies for open source releasing and contribution, evolving for engineering excellence and business goals
  • Support teams across the company with expertise in how open source operates, and help them navigate to a successful outcome including negotiating and setting up a new industry open source initiative
  • Identify areas of risk both in internal open source operations and the wider regulatory landscape. Develop, advocate, and implement solutions
  • Represent Google in open source community discussions and working groups representation for a day or working upstream for months on a critical initiative

Requirements For Staff Developer Relations Engineer, Open Source Programs
