Google's Raxium display group is at the forefront of revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology, specifically focused on microLED technology. As a Staff Epitaxy Process Engineer, you'll be instrumental in driving Epitaxy growth processes for advanced microLED technology at scale.

Working from the state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, you'll be part of a team that's pushing the boundaries of display technology. The position requires deep expertise in manufacturing processes, particularly in Epitaxy growth engineering, and the ability to develop and optimize processes for volume manufacturing.

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, requiring collaboration across multiple teams including Operations, Software, and Engineering. You'll be responsible for developing strategies for process stability, improving yield, and solving complex materials and device issues. The position offers competitive compensation including a base salary range of $165,000-$245,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities For Staff Epitaxy Process Engineer

  • Drive solutions for meeting production demands of epitaxy processes at volume manufacturing scale
  • Develop strategies for effective systems and methodologies enabling improved process stability and control for yield improvement
  • Collaborate closely with the Operation teams to drive improved cycle times and process stability
  • Work with software, Epitaxy operations and Epitaxy engineering on process monitoring
  • Drive resolution of complex materials and device issues as part of cross-functional teams

Requirements For Staff Epitaxy Process Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or Material Science, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience working in manufacturing or an epitaxial growth engineering technical environment
  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field (preferred)
  • Experience in technical leadership, project management, and executive communication
  • Experience with technical problem solving of complex multifaceted issues
  • Experience driving solutions in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of Metal-Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD)
