Responsibilities For Staff Software Engineer, Chrome Accessibility

  • Work closely with UX designers, Product Managers, and other Engineers to define, design, and implement accessibility and immersive reading features
  • Work on Chrome browser features to improve the experience for users with disabilities, including those who rely on third-party assistive technology
  • Build and improve Chrome OS platform features for users with disabilities, including screen reading, braille support, magnification, color enhancement, and more
  • Improve the web platform with tools and APIs to help developers make their web apps accessible to everyone
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest accessibility standards and best practices

Requirements For Staff Software Engineer, Chrome Accessibility

JavaScript
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in software development
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
  • Experience with C++, JavaScript and Web Applications
  • Experience with Chrome and Chrome OS
