Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. As a Staff Software Engineer on the Search team, specifically working on Chrome's Discover feature, you'll be at the forefront of reimagining what it means to search for information. The role requires technical leadership in developing solutions that handle information at massive scale.

You'll work on critical projects with opportunities to switch teams as the business evolves. The position demands versatility and leadership qualities to tackle full-stack challenges. Requirements For Staff Software Engineer, Discover on Chrome

JavaScript

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture and testing/launching software products
  • Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (preferred)
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction (preferred)
  • 3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects (preferred)
  • English proficiency
