Responsibilities For Staff Software Engineer, Migration Service, Google BigQuery
- Build large-scale systems and infrastructure to enable migration to BigQuery and different Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
- Take initiative and be responsible for technical solutions from concept to landing
- Work with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to decide on the goal and scope of the BigQuery and migration assistant product
- Lead designs for major software components, systems, and features
Requirements For Staff Software Engineer, Migration Service, Google BigQuery
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms
- 5 years of experience launching software products
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
- Experience in managing data lakes, warehousing, data migrations and using ETL tools
- Experience in working with OLTP and OLAP database management systems
- Experience in querying and managing datasets using SQL and programming using Java
