Description For Staff UX Research Manager

Google Cloud is seeking a Staff UX Research Manager to join their Core ML UX team. This role involves managing UX Research Programs to accelerate developer velocity in model development and understand AI Data products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied research, experience leading design projects, and managing teams. They will work on shaping product development, influencing overall strategy, and collaborating with leaders across UX, Engineering, and Product Management teams to create innovative experiences for Google's products, with a focus on machine learning and AI capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing UX Research Programs for developer velocity and AI Data products
  • Defining and visualizing customer user journeys
  • Developing strategies and roadmaps to support program OKRs
  • Managing a team of qualitative and quantitative researchers

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's or PhD preferred) and significant experience in applied research, leading design projects, and working with executive leadership. The position offers a competitive salary range of $168,000-$252,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits, with opportunities to work in various locations including Sunnyvale, CA; Cambridge, MA; New York, NY; and Seattle, WA.
