Google Cloud is seeking a Storage Specialist Customer Engineer to drive their cloud storage business, with a focus on Google Cloud's NetApp Volumes (GCNV) offering. This role combines deep technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, requiring extensive experience in cloud computing and storage solutions. The position involves collaborating with multiple teams including Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to deliver business goals and develop innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NetApp technology and cloud computing, with the ability to develop and implement storage solutions for various industries including Banking, Automotive, Healthcare, and Gaming. Responsibilities For Storage Specialist Customer Engineer

  • Manage technical aspects of customer relationship, including product briefings and proof-of-concepts
  • Identify and address technical obstacles customers face regarding GCNV
  • Provide technical guidance for Google Cloud solutions implementation
  • Develop industry specific blueprints for workloads/flows following Google Cloud best practices
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required

Requirements For Storage Specialist Customer Engineer

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in a customer-facing role in the enterprise technology space
  • 8 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in cloud computing environment, focus on NetApp data storage
  • 3 years of experience in cloud computing
  • Experience with hybrid cloud deployments and on-premises-to-cloud migration deployments
  • Deep understanding of NetApp technology, specifically ONTAP, and its integration with Google Cloud (GCNV)
  • Deep expertise with GCNV offering as a technical sales engineer
