Description For Strategic Cloud Data Engineer

Google Cloud Platform is seeking a Strategic Cloud Data Engineer to join their team in driving customer success through cloud technology. This role involves guiding customers on data solutions using GCP, from ingestion to visualization. You'll be instrumental in data migrations, designing large-scale processing systems, and developing scalable data pipelines. The position requires travel to customer sites for solution deployment and workshop delivery.

As part of Google Cloud, you'll work with a team that helps customers transform their businesses using cloud technology. The platform is built for security, reliability, and scalability, serving customers across 200+ countries. You'll collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to drive product excellence.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience with data processing algorithms, distributed frameworks, and GCP products. Knowledge of data warehousing, encryption techniques, and modern technologies like NoSQL and Machine Learning is highly valued. Responsibilities For Strategic Cloud Data Engineer

  • Interact with stakeholders to translate customer requirements into solution architectures
  • Engage with technical leads and partners to lead migration and modernization to GCP
  • Design, Migrate/Build and Operationalize data storage and processing infrastructure
  • Develop and implement data quality and governance procedures
  • Take project requirements and organize them into clear goals and objectives

Requirements For Strategic Cloud Data Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in developing and troubleshooting data processing algorithms using Python, Java, Scala, Spark and hadoop frameworks
  • Experience in distributed data processing frameworks and GCP analytical data stores like BigQuery, CloudSQL, AlloyDB
  • Experience in one Database type to write SQLs
  • Experience in GCP
