Google Cloud Platform is seeking a Strategic Cloud Engineer specializing in Looker BI to join their dynamic team. The position involves working with Google Cloud Platform's suite of tools, with a particular focus on Looker BI implementation and optimization. You'll be responsible for guiding customers through their data journey - from ingestion to visualization - while ensuring best practices and security standards are maintained. The role requires a strong foundation in SQL, data warehousing, and BI tools, with hands-on experience in Looker's LookML modeling language.

Responsibilities For Strategic Cloud Engineer, Looker BI

  • Recommend technical solutions and best practices for complex customer requirements using Looker functionalities
  • Interact with internal technical stakeholders (TAM, FSR, CSM, etc.) to translate complex customer requirements into recommendations
  • Help Google cloud customers with current infrastructure assessment, design and architect target infrastructure
  • Engage with c-suite executives, technical leads and partners to lead high velocity migrations to GCP
  • Work with leading customers and enterprises to identify and offer value of Looker's product

Requirements For Strategic Cloud Engineer, Looker BI

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 4 years of experience in delivering BI/Reporting projects with complex reports
  • Experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar
  • Experience with SQL writing and in Looker, including writing and maintaining a LookML model
