As a Strategic Risk Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying potential risks, conducting impact assessments, and developing mitigation strategies for high-stakes events. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work with both front-line teams and executives. You'll contribute to maintaining and improving incident response SOPs while ensuring swift and effective crisis management.
The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $132,000 to $194,000 base salary, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The role offers the opportunity to work from either Austin, TX or Seattle, WA, contributing to Google's mission of earning users' trust and making the internet a safer place.
This position requires someone who can handle graphic, controversial, or upsetting content while maintaining professionalism. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in risk management or crisis management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels. A bachelor's degree is required, while a master's degree or PhD is preferred.
