Google is invested in increasing the number of future computer scientists and software developers, particularly those who are historically underrepresented in the field. The Student Training in Engineering Program (STEP) is a 12-week internship that offers students the opportunity to work on a software project alongside another STEP intern, with the support of full-time Googlers and a mentor. Interns will also attend trainings to enhance their technical and professional skills.
The program aims to bridge the gap between academic study and a professional internship. Interns will apply knowledge gained in computer science courses to real-world challenges, complete a challenging technical project with a team of Googlers and other STEP interns, enhance their coding skills using new tools and programming languages, and attend training sessions to build professional skills.
Google is an engineering company at heart, hiring people with a broad set of technical skills who are ready to take on some of technology's greatest challenges and make an impact on users around the world. From Google Ads to Chrome, Android to YouTube, social to local, Google engineers are changing the world one technological achievement after another.
Interns will be matched with a Google engineer to mentor them throughout the internship. The specific team and project(s) will be determined based on the intern's educational background, interests, and skills.
Please note: Individuals applying for this position will not be eligible for immigration sponsorship. Participation in the internship program requires that you are located and have the legal right to work in Poland. The internship is full-time for 12 weeks over the Summer 2025 (starting in July).
