Google's Hardware Testing Engineering team is seeking a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Supplier Quality Engineer to join their prestigious technical infrastructure team. This role is crucial in maintaining Google's world-class computing infrastructure by ensuring the quality and reliability of PCB deliverables.

As a PCB Supplier Quality Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of setting and managing supplier quality and reliability standards for Google's PCB Infrastructure. Your expertise will be essential in improving PCB deliverables quality during New Product Introduction (NPI) and maintaining excellence throughout the product lifecycle. You'll work with cutting-edge tools, processes, and technologies to assess PCB product quality and reliability.

The position offers an opportunity to work with Google's custom-designed machines, which comprise one of the largest and most powerful computing infrastructures globally. Responsibilities For Supplier Quality Engineer, Printed Circuit Board, Google Cloud

  • Be responsible for the quality and reliability of PCB deliverables throughout the lifecycle
  • Drive cross-functional activities in the supply chain for overall technical operational readiness in all New Product Introduction (NPI) phases leading into mass production
  • Conduct quality and manufacturing process audits at suppliers, including on-site management for critical suppliers
  • Work cross-functionally to define and ensure processes are in place to provide the data required to manage quality and reliability
  • Establish quality programs and process controls for early detection of issues

Requirements For Supplier Quality Engineer, Printed Circuit Board, Google Cloud

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, a related PCB field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in the PCB technology and manufacturing process
  • Experience in statistical product quality control, process capability, reliability, failure analysis, and process improvement
  • Understanding of PCB manufacturing and test processes
  • Ability to travel as needed
