Description For Sustaining Technical Program Manager, Electronic Product Manufacturing

Google's Devices & Services team is seeking a Sustaining Technical Program Manager to lead complex manufacturing operations and cross-functional technical teams. This role is crucial in ensuring Google's electronic products meet quality standards during mass production.

As the cornerstone of operations communication, you'll work with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to optimize production processes, manage product yield, and drive continuous improvements. You'll be responsible for identifying and mitigating technical risks, managing line operations, and providing valuable design input from early stages through mass production.

The position requires strong technical expertise combined with program management skills. You'll collaborate with international OEM partners and lead cross-functional teams to achieve product objectives in quality, yield, and cost. Responsibilities For Sustaining Technical Program Manager, Electronic Product Manufacturing

  • Identify and ensure ongoing technical risks are identified and mitigated or resolved
  • Manage the operations side for line layout, line bring up, fixture buy off, and line qualifications for ramp
  • Manage the product yield, quality performance at the Contract Manufacturers (CM) site, and mass production yield and performance updates
  • Guide CMs to strengthen their manufacturing process control. Set KPIs and goals for CMs for continuous improvements
  • Provide design review and early involvement from the New Product Introduction stage through mass production

Requirements For Sustaining Technical Program Manager, Electronic Product Manufacturing

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in program management
  • Experience as a technical program manager in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical teams
