The role is crucial in ensuring the quality and performance of Google's custom ASIC's and SoC's, requiring expertise in hardware testing, Linux/Unix environments, and programming languages like Python. You'll be responsible for developing automated testing solutions, partnering with various teams to evaluate device performance, and implementing manufacturing solutions.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that powers Google's direct-to-consumer products. The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $127,000 to $187,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. The role is based in Sunnyvale, CA, allowing you to work directly with Google's technical teams.

As part of Google's Technical Infrastructure team, you'll contribute to maintaining and developing the architecture that keeps Google's product portfolio running. The team takes pride in being the "engineers' engineers" and focuses on ensuring optimal performance and reliability of Google's networks and systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with hardware testing, semiconductor testing, and implementing secure ASIC/SoC manufacturing solutions. Knowledge of various programming languages and frameworks, including C#, .NET, C++, and Perl, is preferred.   • Develop System Level Test (SLT) solutions for custom ASIC's and SoC's
  • Partner with data center server and accelerator design teams to realize practical test solutions
  • Partner with hardware and software teams to evaluate functional device yield and performance
  • Integrate test software and hardware solutions with robotic chip handlers

Requirements For System Level Test Engineer, PhD, University Graduate, Google Cloud

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with hardware testing of systems based on custom ASIC's or SoC products
  • Experience with Linux/Unix, Python programming, or basic TCP/IP network configuration
  • Experience with hardware and/or semiconductor testing (preferred)
  • Experience implementing secure ASIC/SoC manufacturing solutions (preferred)
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, C/C++, and/or Perl (preferred)
  • Knowledge of ASIC/SoC Boot process and/or CPU performance testing (preferred)
