Google is seeking a System Level Test Engineer to join their Technical Infrastructure team, focusing on developing custom silicon solutions for their direct-to-consumer products. This role combines hardware expertise with software development, requiring a PhD holder who can bridge the gap between ASIC/SoC technologies and High Performance Computing Products.

The position involves developing and automating system-level manufacturing tests for ASIC's and SoC's, working closely with ASIC Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon SoC Verification teams. You'll be responsible for defining test methodologies and implementing manufacturing solutions that ensure product quality and performance.

As part of Google's Technical Infrastructure team, you'll be at the heart of what makes Google's product portfolio possible. The team takes pride in being the engineers' engineers, maintaining data centers, and building next-generation Google platforms. This role offers a competitive salary range of $132,000-$189,000 plus additional benefits including bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits package.

The ideal candidate will have experience with hardware testing of systems based on custom ASIC's or SoC products, strong programming skills in Python, and familiarity with Linux/Unix environments. Additional valuable skills include experience with semiconductor testing, secure ASIC/SoC manufacturing solutions, and proficiency in languages like C#, .NET Framework, C/C++, and Perl.

  • Partner with hardware and software teams to evaluate functional device yield and performance
  • Integrate test software and hardware solutions with robotic chip handlers
