Description For System Verification Engineer II, Supply Chain and Operations

Google's Hardware Testing Engineering team plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability of one of the largest computing infrastructures in the world. As a System Verification Engineer II, you'll be responsible for validating Hardware Design, Software Tooling, and Process Workflows for next-generation L10/L11 systems. The role involves working with various stakeholders from Data Center, Manufacturing, and Product Design teams to identify and validate operational risks.

You'll be part of the Technical Infrastructure team, which is fundamental in keeping Google's vast network of services running smoothly. The position requires a blend of hardware and software expertise, as you'll be validating everything from network switches to machine learning pods. You'll have the opportunity to influence platform architectures through technical insights and collaborate with Hardware and Software Test Engineers to build in-house competence in Design for Operations.

Responsibilities For System Verification Engineer II, Supply Chain and Operations

  • Validate complex new product introduction (NPI) systems across the entire data center lifecycle
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans leveraging data center insights
  • Communicate test findings and potential risks to cross-functional engineering teams
  • Improve testing efficiency by identifying and implementing automation opportunities
  • Drive product quality and compliance by conducting audits and implementing test methodologies

Requirements For System Verification Engineer II, Supply Chain and Operations

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience with Test Management in a data center environment or experience with hardware testing, process validation, or software testing
  • Experience with systems integration and validation processes
  • Knowledge of debugging skills and familiarity with industry standard simulations and debug tools
  • Knowledge of hardware engineering including design, development, and testing
  • Knowledge of hardware architecture design and component interactions
