Google is seeking a Tech Lead in Software Engineering specifically for women in tech candidates. This role is part of Google's commitment to diversity and equal opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, data structures/algorithms, and experience in technical leadership.

As a Tech Lead at Google, you'll be at the forefront of developing next-generation technologies that impact billions of users worldwide. You'll work on critical projects that extend beyond web search, handling information at massive scale. The role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, and improving software, as well as researching and conceiving new applications to enhance Google's product offerings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems, APIs, search ranking systems, or Machine Learning systems
  • Collaborating on scalability issues involving data and information access
  • Managing team priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Leading and mentoring a team of software engineers

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, 8 years of software development experience, 5 years of experience in testing and launching software products, and 3 years in software design and architecture. Additional preferred qualifications include 4 years in a technical leadership role and 2 years managing software engineering teams.
