Description For Technical Account Manager, Google Cloud Consulting (English, Japanese, Korean)

Google Cloud is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to drive customer success in cloud adoption. This role combines technical expertise with customer relationship management, requiring fluency in English and either Japanese or Korean. The position involves leading organizations through their cloud transformation journey, managing Professional Services engagements, and working with Google Cloud products including Compute Engine, Cloud Machine Learning, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, and Google Workspace.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with excellent communication skills, able to bridge the gap between technical implementation and business strategy. You'll work directly with enterprise executives and cross-functional teams, managing cloud adoption strategies, technical implementations, and transformation programs. The role requires approximately 25% travel domestically and internationally.

As a TAM, you'll be instrumental in helping customers navigate their cloud journey, from initial strategy development through successful implementation. You'll need to understand complex technical concepts while also being able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Responsibilities For Technical Account Manager, Google Cloud Consulting (English, Japanese, Korean)

  • Accelerate customer adoption of Google Cloud by leading the implementation journey
  • Provide technical guidance and manage timelines, milestones, migration goal and business transformation strategies
  • Advocate for customer needs to overcome adoption blockers and drive new feature development
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders to understand customer's business
  • Plan for customer events and launches, partnering with Support, Engineers, and Site Reliability Engineers
  • Develop best practices and assets based on learnings from customer engagements

Requirements For Technical Account Manager, Google Cloud Consulting (English, Japanese, Korean)

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role working with stakeholders
  • Experience supporting customers in cloud operations
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese or Korean fluently
  • Experience in application or workload migration to public cloud providers
  • Experience translating business requirements into technological solutions
  • Experience collaborating across business units
  • Understanding of IT operations, database systems, networking, IT security, application development
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and management skills
