Description For Technical Account Manager, Google Cloud Consulting (English, Japanese/Korean)

Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to guide customers through their cloud transformation journey. This role combines technical expertise with customer relationship management to drive successful adoption of Google Cloud products. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of customer-facing experience, strong technical background in cloud operations, and fluency in English and Japanese or Korean.

As a TAM, you'll be responsible for leading implementation journeys, providing technical guidance, and managing critical milestones for customer cloud adoption. You'll work closely with stakeholders to develop strategic roadmaps and overcome adoption challenges. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across different time zones.

  • Accelerate customer adoption of Google Cloud by leading the implementation journey
  • Advocate for customer needs to overcome adoption blockers and drive new feature development
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders to understand customer's business
  • Plan for customer events and launches, partnering with Support, Engineers, and Site Reliability Engineers
  • Develop best practices and assets based on learnings from customer engagements

Requirements For Technical Account Manager, Google Cloud Consulting (English, Japanese/Korean)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role working with stakeholders
  • Experience supporting customers in cloud operations
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese or Korean fluently
  • Ability to work during Japan/Korea business hours (GMT +9)
  • Understanding of IT operations, database systems, networking, IT security
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and client management skills
