Description For Technical Account Manager I, Google Cloud Consulting

Google Cloud is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to play a crucial role in helping customers successfully adopt Google Cloud products. This position combines technical expertise with customer relationship management, requiring 5 years of experience in customer-facing roles. As a TAM, you'll lead organizations through their Google Cloud transformation journey, managing Cloud Consulting engagements and working with diverse stakeholder groups.

The role demands a strong technical foundation with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, along with extensive experience in cloud operations and technical implementations. You'll be responsible for accelerating customer adoption of Google Cloud, providing technical guidance, managing timelines, and developing strategic roadmaps for successful cloud transformation.

Key aspects of the role include advocating for customer needs, leading multiple work streams, and developing relationships with stakeholders to understand their business requirements. You'll also plan customer events and launches, working closely with Support, Engineers, and Site Reliability Engineers to ensure customer success.

  • Provide technical guidance and manage timelines, milestones, migration goal and business transformation strategies
  • Advocate for customer needs to overcome adoption blockers and drive new feature development
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders to understand customer's business
  • Develop strategic roadmaps and lead quarterly business reviews
  • Plan for customer events and launches
  • Develop best practices and assets based on learnings from customer engagements
