Description For Technical Lead and Manager, Chrome Enterprise Premium

Google is seeking a Technical Lead and Manager for their Chrome Enterprise Premium team, a role that combines technical leadership with people management responsibilities. This position involves working with Chrome's extensive ecosystem, contributing to Chromium, and building cloud infrastructure and Workspace solutions. The role focuses on providing customizable AI services, management tools, and security features for organizations using Chrome.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development with at least 8 years of experience, including 2 years each in technical leadership and people management. They'll work across all devices and form factors, collaborating with Safe Browsing, Workspace, and Cloud Security teams to bridge cloud offerings with Chrome's extensive reach.

Chrome's mission is to build a better, more open web, focusing on improving browser experience across all major platforms (iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome OS). As an open-source project, Chrome aims to benefit the entire web ecosystem through innovations in speed, simplicity, and security.

The role involves leading high-impact projects, managing team priorities, and ensuring successful delivery of large-scale software solutions. You'll be responsible for growing and managing a team of engineers while working both in the open-source Chromium repository and internal Google server codebases.   • 8 years of experience in software development, testing, and launching software products
  • 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role
  • 2 years of experience in people management, supervision/team leadership role
  • Experience with C++
  • Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (preferred)
  • 3 years of experience working in matrixed organization (preferred)
  • Experience with client side development (preferred)
  • Experience with Java (preferred)
