Responsibilities For Technical Lead, Firmware, Pixel Systems Power

  • Work with cross-functional hardware and software teams to model power consumption and define power goals
  • Analyze and optimize the software running across the key components of the chipset such as CPU, GPU, Memory Subsystem and Connectivity
  • Debug and resolve battery drain issues
  • Collaborate with Android application teams across Google to help them optimize power
  • Develop tools and tests for validating and monitoring power consumption

Requirements For Technical Lead, Firmware, Pixel Systems Power

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of experience in embedded development
  • Experience in programming in C or C++
  • Experience with power management of embedded mobile devices and hardware subsystems
  • Knowledge of Linux kernel, Android system, and embedded software system design
  • Experience with SQL for analyzing data collections
