Google is seeking a Technical Lead Software Engineer for their Chrome Enterprise Premium team, focusing on building and maintaining security services that protect data and users as work transitions to the browser. This role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical work, requiring expertise in C++ development and security infrastructure.

The position involves working with Chrome's extensive ecosystem, contributing to both Chromium and cloud infrastructure on Google Workspace. You'll be part of a full-stack team working across all devices and form factors, developing customizable AI services, management tools, and security features for organizations using Chrome. The role particularly emphasizes creating security solutions that establish Chrome as a fundamental component of enterprise Zero Trust architectures.

As a technical lead, you'll collaborate with Safe Browsing, Google Workspace, and Cloud Security teams to bridge cloud offerings with Chrome's reach. Requirements For Technical Lead Software Engineering, Chrome Enterprise Premium

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience with software development in C++
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products
  • 1 year of experience with software design and architecture
  • 1.5 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Experience in client-side development preferred
  • Experience building user-facing features
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
