Google is seeking a Technical Operations Manager for Third-Party Data Center Operational Audits to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role involves overseeing colocation operations of electrical, cooling, and IT infrastructure, working closely with Google's data center engineering team, Hardware operations, Network Infrastructure, and third-party vendors. The position requires up to 50% travel for conducting regional audits.

The Technical Infrastructure team is crucial in maintaining Google's architecture, developing and maintaining data centers, and building next-generation Google platforms. They ensure networks run efficiently, providing users with optimal experiences. The role combines technical expertise with operational audit responsibilities, focusing on compliance, risk assessment, and strategic planning.

As a Technical Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for conducting operational assessments, ensuring compliance with practices and product requirements, and performing risk analysis of third-party colocation sites. The position requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work in a global environment.

  • Contribute to focus area strategy and setting strategy associated with the execution of the third-party colocation site audits

Requirements For Technical Operations Manager, Third-Party Data Center Operational Audits

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience working in an operational audit role
  • Experience working in data center environments, including building and operating infrastructure
  • Experience with initiating and executing initiatives in a global environment
  • Experience conducting compliance audits on operational requirements
  • Ability to perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third-party sites
  • Ability to forecast resource requirements in a driven way
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
