Google is seeking a Technical Operations Manager for Third-Party Data Center Operational Audits to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role involves overseeing colocation operations of electrical, cooling, and IT infrastructure, working closely with Google's data center engineering team, Hardware operations, Network Infrastructure, and third-party vendors. The position requires up to 50% travel for conducting regional audits.

The Technical Infrastructure team is crucial in maintaining Google's architecture, developing and maintaining data centers, and building next-generation Google platforms. They ensure networks run efficiently, providing users with optimal experiences. The role combines technical expertise with operational oversight, focusing on compliance, audit perspectives, and maintaining high standards of operability, maintainability, and reliability.

  • Perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third-party colocation sites
  • Execute program compliance and assessment requirements
  • Keep main stakeholders informed about current work and discuss decisions and directions with them
  • Contribute to focus area strategy and setting strategy associated with the execution of the third-party colocation site audits

Requirements For Technical Operations Manager, Third-Party Data Center Operational Audits

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience working in an operational audit role
  • Experience working in data center environments, including building and operating infrastructure
  • Experience with initiating and executing initiatives in a global environment

  • Ability to perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third-party sites
  • Ability to forecast resource requirements in a driven way
