Description For Technical Operations Manager, Third-Party Data Center Operational Audits

Google is seeking a Technical Operations Manager for Third-Party Data Center Operational Audits to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role involves overseeing colocation operations of electrical, cooling, and IT infrastructure, working closely with Google's data center engineering team, Hardware operations, Network Infrastructure, and third-party vendors. The position requires up to 50% travel for conducting regional audits.

The Technical Infrastructure team is crucial in maintaining Google's architecture, developing and maintaining data centers, and building next-generation Google platforms. They take pride in being the engineers' engineers and ensure networks run optimally for the best user experience.

As a Technical Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for conducting operational assessments, performing risk analysis of third-party colocation sites, and ensuring compliance with program requirements.   • Conduct the operational assessment process across the region to ensure practices and product requirements
  • Perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third-party colocation sites
  • Execute program compliance and assessment requirements
  • Keep main stakeholders informed about current work and discuss decisions and directions with them
  • Contribute to focus area strategy and setting strategy associated with the execution of the third-party colocation site audits

Requirements For Technical Operations Manager, Third-Party Data Center Operational Audits

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience working in an operational audit role
  • Experience working in data center environments, including building and operating infrastructure
  • Experience with initiating and executing initiatives in a global environment
  • Experience conducting compliance audits on operational requirements
  • Ability to perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third-party sites
  • Ability to forecast resource requirements in a driven way
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Passion for operations and people management
