Description For Technical Program Management, APAC Network Infrastructure

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join their APAC Network Infrastructure team in Singapore. This role combines technical expertise with program management to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects focused on network infrastructure development and optimization across Asia.

The position requires someone who can effectively bridge technical and business aspects, working closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage projects, and drive technical directions. You'll be responsible for identifying and defining tactical initiatives necessary to meet Google's network infrastructure needs, both for expansion and cost optimization across Asia.

As part of the Technical Infrastructure team, you'll be instrumental in maintaining and developing the architecture that powers Google's vast product portfolio. The role involves collaborating with network negotiators, vendor delivery managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure is delivered on time and meets Google's high standards.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of program management experience, with specific expertise in networking and optical technologies. You'll need to demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while solving complex challenges. Your understanding of Asian and global carrier networks, combined with knowledge of fiber optic systems, will be crucial for success.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Management, APAC Network Infrastructure

  • Collaborate with internal business and cross-functional networking technical teams
  • Present network plans for approval by all internal stakeholders
  • Manage the approved network plan with internal contributors
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define and improve business processes
  • Partner with network negotiators in planning and execution of orders and contracts

Requirements For Technical Program Management, APAC Network Infrastructure

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management
  • Experience with networking, optical technologies, and outside plant or layer one network design
  • Experience in navigating ambiguity and identifying opportunities for optimization
  • Knowledge of fiber optic systems
  • Understanding of Asian and global carrier networks
  • Excellent problem solving and financial skills
  • Excellent communication skills
