Description For Technical Program Manager, Capacity Planning

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Capacity Planning to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. This role involves working with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to explain analyses and recommendations to executives as well as discuss technical tradeoffs with engineers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving alignment on timelines, goals, and deliverables
  • Managing risks and proposing mitigation plans
  • Measuring and publishing program metrics
  • Leading engineering program management for innovative software development teams
  • Demonstrating skills in continuous improvement and organizational change

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain, Industrial, or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in program management and technical project management. The candidate should have expertise in Software Product Life Cycle (PLC) and experience managing projects in software engineering teams.
