Google's Devices & Services team is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Central Test Engineering to lead complex manufacturing and testing operations. This role combines technical expertise with program management to ensure high-quality product development and manufacturing processes. The position involves managing factory test stations, developing test strategies, and optimizing processes across production lines while working with international partners and cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will bring 3 years of technical program management experience, with strong capabilities in hardware test debugging, troubleshooting, and failure analysis. They'll need to be equally comfortable managing relationships with Contract Manufacturers and Original Equipment Manufacturers while driving technical improvements in test processes and yields. Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential for stakeholder management in the region.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Central Test Engineering

  • Manage factory test stations from conceptualization to sustaining
  • Be the point of contact for internal and external teams
  • Manage overall test readiness, risks, and communication with cross-functional teams
  • Develop test strategy and optimize test processes across production line
  • Drive yield, retest and test issues for test line
  • Work with Contract Manufacturers on test related processes
  • Manage schedules and plan for all test engineering deliverables
  • Collaborate with suppliers and engineering teams in developing test coverage

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Central Test Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in program management
  • Experience in developing and implementing manufacturing test strategies and optimizing test processes
  • 3 years of experience in Technical Program Manager role or equivalent
  • Experience in hardware test debugging, troubleshooting, Capex optimization, and failure analysis
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working with international OEM partners
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights, strategies and plans
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Mandarin fluently
