Technical Program Manager, Data Center Construction

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Data Center Construction to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. The role involves managing large-scale construction projects within an international working environment, focusing on data center equipment and environments. Key responsibilities include managing site-wide data center construction and delivery, ensuring development of detailed designs, managing construction aspects, and establishing vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial or technology construction, project controls, and data center environments. This position is part of the Data Center Delivery and Engineering team, which designs and constructs efficient data centers. The role requires a balance of technical expertise and program management skills, with a focus on safe and successful delivery of Data Center projects within a sub-region. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage large-scale data center construction and delivery projects
• Oversee detailed designs, construction management, commissioning, and handoff to operations
• Establish and maintain delivery models and global vendor relationships
• Create growth plans and participate in hiring/recruiting talent
• Research and implement construction methods for data center equipment and facilities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience in program management
• 5 years of experience in industrial or technology construction
• Experience in construction project controls, scheduling, and assurance programs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing large-scale construction projects in an international environment
• Familiarity with data center equipment and environments
• Experience managing vendor relationships in the design and construction industry
