Description For Technical Program Manager, Data Center Construction

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Data Center Construction to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. This role involves managing outcomes for data center sites, demonstrating expertise in business operations across data center domains, and ensuring overall availability and reliability meeting or exceeding SLAs/SLOs. The position requires working with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners.

As a Technical Program Manager, you'll guide teams in developing solutions to ambiguous issues while leading others in maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting mission-critical data center servers, network, and associated equipment. You'll work with multiple cross-functional partner teams to implement both short-term and long-term strategy and process changes.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Data Center Construction

  • Implement communication standards across a portfolio of programs including executive and key partner communications
  • Establish reliable and visible cadence for program reviews, decision-making, prioritization, and Resource Stewardship improvements
  • Lead a governance structure that drives executive decision-making
  • Identify change management opportunities that increase program velocity
  • Define/manage a program portfolio solving problems that goals business impact for the organization

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Data Center Construction

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in program management
  • 8 years of infrastructure work experience
  • Master degree in Engineering relevant field preferred
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects preferred
  • Experience in engineering, delivery and execution of hyperscale data center solutions
  • Experience in site construction management for industrial buildings
  • English proficiency
