Description For Technical Program Manager, Data Center Operations, Third-Party Data Centers

Google's Third-Party Data Center (3PDC) team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead operations in facilities built by third-parties. This role combines technical expertise with program management to ensure reliable operation of critical systems within data centers. You'll be responsible for leading complex projects involving Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), managing incidents, and driving operational excellence.

The position requires a strong technical background with at least 5 years of program management experience. You'll work within the Technical Infrastructure team, which is fundamental to keeping Google's vast product portfolio running smoothly. The role involves developing project scopes, managing budgets, and ensuring quality delivery while working with various stakeholders.

As a Technical Program Manager, you'll need to be equally comfortable discussing technical details with engineers and presenting recommendations to executives. The role offers the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure that powers Google's services, with responsibilities including incident response, data analysis, and process improvement.

The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial controls in critical environments, knowledge of BMS and SCADA systems, and strong communication skills. You'll be part of a team that takes pride in being "engineers' engineers" and maintains the infrastructure that keeps Google's networks running optimally.

Google emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, aiming to build a workplace that reflects the world's diversity. The company offers a collaborative environment where you'll work with cross-functional partners and contribute to the operation of some of the world's most advanced data center facilities.
