Description For Technical Program Manager, Data Communications Network

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead their Data Communications Network initiatives in Singapore. This role combines technical expertise with program management to oversee complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. The position focuses on managing Global Submarine Networks' Layer 2-3 IP Secure Data Communications Network and Operational Support Systems.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll be responsible for working with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and maintain clear communication with cross-functional partners. Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Data Communications Network

  • Review, design, implement and operationally manage Global Submarine Networks (GSN's) Layer 2-3 IP Secure Data Communications Network (DCN) and Operational Support Systems (OSS) and Cloud based applications and systems
  • Work closely with stakeholders, supporting GSN's Network Operations center (NOC) to develop systems operating processes
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network and OSS systems performance
  • Manage and track Quality of Service (QoS) issues and resolutions
  • Work with technology suppliers, security, risk and compliance teams to ensure Google maintains the highest levels of reliability in respect of operating systems and networks

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Data Communications Network

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management
  • 7 years of experience in network operations and data communications (preferred)
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects (preferred)
  • 5 years of experience with network multilayered OSS, network design, and network security (preferred)
  • Experience with developing software in a CI/CD environment (preferred)
  • Experience with data communications protocols and data network design (preferred)
  • Familiarity with enterprise networking (L3 Routing, Switching (CISCO) SD WAN and Security) (preferred)
