Description For Technical Program Manager, Endpoint Security

Google's Enterprise Security team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead their Endpoint Security initiatives. This role is crucial in safeguarding Alphabet's infrastructure, endpoints, and user data through the development and implementation of scalable security platforms. As part of the Core team, you'll be at the forefront of building technical foundations for Google's flagship products.

The position requires a blend of technical expertise and program management skills to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, managing everything from project planning and risk assessment to stakeholder communication. The role demands someone who can bridge the gap between technical and non-technical groups, explaining complex analyses to executives while discussing technical tradeoffs with engineers.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Endpoint Security

  • Develop and execute program charters, plans, and timelines
  • Implement project management tools and methodologies for effective execution, setting priorities, tracking progress, and managing dependencies
  • Set up regular execution rhythms such as weekly status meetings and monthly progress reviews
  • Create a communication strategy, establish necessary communication channels, and oversee communication to bring visibility to teams, executives, and stakeholders
  • Drive the execution of the cross-functional program and key decisions to keep the program on track

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Endpoint Security

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Electrical Engineering) or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in program/project management
  • Experience working with teams and other cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience with program management fundamentals (e.g., planning, execution, estimation, risk management, stakeholder management)
  • Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
  • Excellent investigative, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
