Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join their Energy and Location Strategy team. This role combines technical expertise with program management to drive sustainability initiatives and data-driven solutions. As a Technical Program Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the development of ETL/data pipelines, orchestrating data flows, and ensuring data quality for sustainability insights. You'll work with cross-functional teams to build and maintain critical data applications using Google Cloud Products. The role requires strong technical skills, including SQL proficiency and understanding of data architecture, combined with program management expertise.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $132,000 to $189,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Energy and Location Strategy

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build solutions to support insights
  • Lead development of ETL/data pipelines that help orchestrate data into data hubs, data marts as well as upstream and downstream applications
  • Drive improvements to data ownership, lineage and quality through identification and surfacing of critical information via the data pipelines and data assets built and maintained for sustainability insights (Load, grid mix, CFE)
  • Help launch business-critical data applications and assets using technology such as Google Cloud Product
  • Drive creation of artifacts and ensure completion of projects across the software development life cycle, partnering with business stakeholders within the organization to ensure change management and adoptions occurs and support our goals

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Energy and Location Strategy

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in program management
  • Experience in the sustainability ecosystem specifically in carbon free energy or energy analytics in general
  • Experience with ETL, data architecture, and system integration considerations
  • Experience scripting in SQL
