Description For Technical Program Manager, Geo Data Escalations

Google's Geo team is seeking a Technical Program Manager for their Geo Data Escalations division. This role combines technical expertise with project management to ensure the integrity and security of Google's mapping services. The position involves managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects focused on abuse prevention and incident response within the Geo ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will bridge technical and management responsibilities, working with Google's mapping products including Maps, Earth, and Street View. Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Geo Data Escalations

  • Drive forensic root cause analysis of abuse attacks and design processes to optimize the impact of incident investigations
  • Produce reports and communications to enable partner teams to develop mitigation plans
  • Drive risk mitigation programs for significant events and act as an Incident Manager
  • Communicate schedules, priorities, and status to all levels in the company

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Geo Data Escalations

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience managing projects
  • Experience in Analytics, SQL, Project Management, Incident Management, Vendor Management and Communication
  • Experience in computer security industry (preferred)
  • Experience in abuse fighting or security domain and Incident or Crisis Management protocol (preferred)
  • Experience with Geo data management with leading cross-functional project teams (preferred)
  • Experience with life-cycle management in software environment (preferred)
  • Technical decision-making skills for software engineering issues (preferred)
