Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Global Network Infrastructure
- Review and understand Google network architecture standards
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure all designs and implementations balance the requirements
- Evaluate alternatives and develop cost estimates for project-specific feasibility studies
- Create standards and templates to streamline build processes
- Create design drawings and documents for network infrastructure and optical cabling for both ISP and OSP
- Communicate with partners to collect drivers and deadlines for delivering network capacity
- Travel approximately 25% of the time to Google's Data Centers around the globe
Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Global Network Infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in program management
- 5 years of experience designing, constructing, or managing infrastructure projects
- Experience creating infrastructure designs (telecom, electrical, mechanical), drawing sets for builds, and remodels of data center networking spaces
- RCDD or PMP certification preferred
- Experience in building construction management
- Experience in professional, registered, or chartered engineer designation
- Experience in project and change management
- Experience creating fiber routing diagrams and building path records
- Excellent data-driven analytical approach to solving challenges
