Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Global Network Infrastructure

  • Review and understand Google network architecture standards
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure all designs and implementations balance the requirements
  • Evaluate alternatives and develop cost estimates for project-specific feasibility studies
  • Create standards and templates to streamline build processes
  • Create design drawings and documents for network infrastructure and optical cabling for both ISP and OSP
  • Communicate with partners to collect drivers and deadlines for delivering network capacity
  • Travel approximately 25% of the time to Google's Data Centers around the globe

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Global Network Infrastructure

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management
  • 5 years of experience designing, constructing, or managing infrastructure projects
  • Experience creating infrastructure designs (telecom, electrical, mechanical), drawing sets for builds, and remodels of data center networking spaces
  • RCDD or PMP certification preferred
  • Experience in building construction management
  • Experience in professional, registered, or chartered engineer designation
  • Experience in project and change management
  • Experience creating fiber routing diagrams and building path records
  • Excellent data-driven analytical approach to solving challenges
