Description For Technical Program Manager, Global Network Planning

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Global Network Planning

  • Lead projects in support of quarterly topology publications such as capacity PoR and infrastructure PoRs for WAN core and campus functional areas
  • Participate in topology change control program ensuring consistent handling of topology change in and out of cycle
  • Contribute technical expertise in network planning functions as well as programs established to improve efficiency, accuracy and automation
  • Liaise with partner teams to identify obstacles and ambiguity in processes and automation
  • Establish and/or contribute to key business metrics development, measurement and tracking

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Global Network Planning

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
  • Extensive experience with Google networking architecture and physical network components
  • Co-location and Large Scale Data Center operational experience
  • Networking NPI Deployments (Alphabet) and/or ML NPI deployment experience
  • Working knowledge of automation and orchestration tools for infrastructure provisioning and management
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and executing complex infrastructure migrations
