Description For Technical Program Manager, Google Cloud Platform

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager for their Google Cloud Platform team to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects focused on data center design and engineering. This role combines technical expertise with project management skills to optimize data center infrastructure and operations.

The ideal candidate will leverage their technical knowledge in data center design to lead projects from inception to completion, working across various teams and time zones. They will be responsible for planning requirements, risk mitigation, schedule management, and maintaining clear communication throughout project lifecycles.

As part of Google's Technical Infrastructure team, you'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining data centers and building next-generation Google platforms. The position involves designing and optimizing physical layouts of data center floors, managing cable tray systems, and calculating power requirements while ensuring efficient resource utilization.

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Google Cloud Platform

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program or technical project management
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Design Documents
  • Experience working with data center equipment/environments (preferred)
  • Experience managing vendor relationships (preferred)
  • Experience managing large-scale construction projects in international environments (preferred)
