Google's HR Engineering team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join their Program Management Office (PMO). This role is crucial in building and maintaining the systems used to hire, grow, and retain Google's talent. As a Technical Program Manager, you'll leverage your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. You'll work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and maintain clear communication with cross-functional partners across Google. The role requires someone who's equally comfortable explaining team analyses to executives and discussing technical tradeoffs with engineers.
The Core team, which you'll be part of, is responsible for building the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products. This team owns and advocates for underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure. You'll have the unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company and build central solutions that break down technical barriers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, combined with at least 2 years of technical program management experience. You should excel at measuring and improving operational excellence, product excellence, equity, and accessibility. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential, as is experience with HR technology processes.
